Swans in the UK are very fond of and fed in the winter, many of them do not fly away to warm regions. The fact is interesting, that all non-ringed swans in Great Britain belong to the English Queen .
Also there is the annual Swan upping ceremony in England, in which which mute swans on the River Thames are rounded up, caught, ringed, and then released.
