Cheddar is a large village and civil parish in the Sedgemoor district of the English county of Somerset (Winchester Farm Wells Road Cheddar Somerset BS27 3RP).
Cheddar known for the fact that on Sundays it hosts fairs, or flea markets. On a specially equipped site and field nearby, from the machines and in the pavilions, there is a sale of various used goods and new ones: auction of meat, clothing, sunglasses, pneumatic rifles, bows and arrows, plant seedlings, fruits and vegetables, animal feeds, old cameras, fishing rods and fishing gear, there are even medals and old coins.
Close to the Cheddar market there is a lake, in which there are huge carps, which begin to swarm in a heap if somebody begin crumble bread from the shore.
Quite an interesting place where you can have a good time with your childs, there is a minimal infrastructure: cafes and a toilet, selling ice cream.
All day parking for visitors car costs ?1. The Cheddar fair is open only on Sundays from 6am - 2pm.
